While we didn’t get a chance to go to IFA 2016, ASUS did hook us up with their lineup at IFA 2016 featuring their PCs, Notebooks, AiO PCs, Routers and more. So let’s see what they have in store, shall we?
ASUS Unveils ZenWatch 3 at Zenvolution (IFA 2016)
In ASUS’ Zenvolution event at IFA 2016 in Germany, The Vice President of ASUS, Eric Chen, proudly announced the gorgeous-looking ASUS ZenWatch 3. The ASUS ZenWatch 3 is powered by Android Wear and it is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
With the ZenWatch 3, ASUS has taken the build-quality to the next level. For the first time, the watch features a round design with jewelry-grade 316L stainless steel construction. The strap of the ZenWatch 3 isn’t bad either. The strap is made from a high-quality Italian leather which is available in dark brown or beige color. The ASUS ZenWatch 3 looks absolutely gorgeous with its three color options: Gunmetal, Silver and Rose Gold.
On top of that, the ASUS ZenWatch 3 also comes with 50 different watch faces that can fit any occasion. You can tune these faces with the ZenWatch Manager application for your smartphone. Just like the ASUS ZenWatch 2, the ASUS ZenWatch 3 also displays daily step counts, missed call notifications and weather. One of the key features of the ASUS ZenWatch 3 is that it features ASUS “HyperCharge” technology. The watch can charge up to 60% in just 15 minutes. According to ASUS, the ZenWatch 3 lasts up to 2 days on a full charge. You can also buy an optional battery pack which can provide 40% more battery life.
ASUS ZenBook 3 Unveiled at IFA 2016
ASUS also unveiled their new notebook PC, called ASUS ZenBook 3. The ASUS ZenBook 3 is a huge improvement over its predecessor. This laptop is completely redesigned and it is extremely light now; only 910g. And no, it doesn’t bend. The ASUS ZenBook 3 is made up of an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy which is quite rigid. The ASUS ZenBook 3 comes in 3 colors: Rose Gold, Royal Blue, and Quartz Grey.
And the laptop is amazingly well-specced too. It features the latest 7th generation Intel Core i7 processors along with up to 16 Gigabytes of DDR4 RAM. The laptop also supports PCIe SSDs with capacities up to 1TB. The audio system is no slouch either. It has 4 audio speaker system powered by Harmon Kardon. Size-wise, this laptop is perfect. It has a 12.5″ Gorilla Glass 4 display with slim bezels. The full-size keyboard is also backlit. And yes, it features USB Type-C port too! As for the battery, the ASUS ZenBook 3 will last you about 9 hours.
ASUS Transformer 3 & Transformer 3 Pro Also Got Unveiled
The ASUS Transformer 3 & Transformer 3 Pro are ASUS’ high-end mobile PCs.
The ASUS Transformer 3 features an ultra-slim aluminum body design which is smaller than “a sheet of A4 size paper”. The laptop also features diamond-cut edges, ASUS Transformer Sleeve keyboard, integrated display stand and an incredible Harmon Kardon quad-speaker audio system.
As for the specifications, the ASUS Transformer 3 has a 12.6-inch display with 3K (2880×1920) resolution and 275ppi pixel density. The display is absolutely gorgeous with thin bezels, vibrant colors, and sharp viewing angles. The ASUS Transformer 3 is also powered by Intel’s latest 7th generation Core processors. Moreover, it also supports up to 8GB RAM and up to a 512GB SSD. The ASUS Transformer 3 also features Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-C, and USB 3.1 10Gbps. As for the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera which is good enough for capturing good-looking photos and videos.
The ASUS Transformer 3 Pro is a 2-in-1 PC that features amazing build quality, portability, and performance. The Transformer 3 Pro also has a built-in metal display stand and ASUS Transformer Cover backlit keyboard. Design-wise, the ASUS Transformer 3 Pro is similar to the ASUS Transformer but specs-wise, it is even better!
The Transformer 3 Pro supports up to 1TB PCIe SSD and up to 16 Gigabytes of RAM. This thing can power up 2 Ultra-HD 4K displays, thanks to Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. On top of that, USB Type-C, USB 3.1 10Gbps, and HDMI is also supported. Similar to the Transformer 3, the ASUS Transformer 3 Pro has a 12.6-inch 3K display along with a 13MP rear camera.
Both ASUS Transformer 3 & Transformer 3 Pro come in two beautiful finishes: Glacier Gray and Icicle Gold. And the ASUS Transformer Sleeve keyboard that comes with these also come in four color options: Charcoal, Taupe, Amber, and Stone.
These devices are called “Transformer” for a reason. Both the ASUS Transformer 3 & Transformer 3 Pro supports various accessories to expand functionality, such as ASUS Universal Dock, ASUS Pen, ROG XG Station 2 (Graphics Card Dock) and ASUS Audio Pod.
ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC Revealed at IFA 2016
ASUS also unveiled their new display, called the ZenScreen MB16AC. The ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC looks gorgeous with its minimalist design and performance-wise, it’s amazing. It is the world’s slimmest (6.5mm thin) and lightest (weighs only 800g) FHD portable monitor. The ZenScreen MB16AC is compatible with any laptop with a USB Type-C or a USB Type-A port.
ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 Also Got Unveiled at IFA 2016
The ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 is the latest 9.7-inch tablet from ASUS. It has a gorgeous 9.7-inch 2048×1536 (QXGA) touchscreen display with slim bezels and beautiful aluminum constructed body. The device is just 5.8mm thin and the edges are also diamond-cut. The ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 is one of the thinnest tablets in the world.
Talking about the specifications, the ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 has a Hexa-Core processor based on the MediaTek MTK8176 chipset. Along with that, it has 4GB RAM and MicroSD support (up to 128GB). As for the battery, it has a giant 5900mAh battery that can juice this behemoth up for 10 hours while watching movies and 12 hours on normal WiFi use. This tablet also supports Qualcomm Quickcharge technology. The battery can be fully charged in about three hours. And for the first time, the ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 has a fingerprint sensor too!
