PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, also known as PUBG, is a wildly successful title by Bluehole Studio. The game has been a huge hit on Steam since its launch earlier this year. PUBG is by far the best game in the “Battle Royale” genre.
As PUBG is growing rapidly in popularity, many fans of this game fear that it will stay in Early Access for a long time, just like DayZ and H1Z1, which are in Early Access for years now. However, that’s not the case.
Developers of PUBG are working hard on the game, bringing new major updates every month. The man behind the “Battle Royale” genre, Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene, also the creator of PUBG, says that the game will be out of Steam Early Access in six or seven months.
In an interview with RockPaperShotgun, Greene said:
“People tell us we’re not going to be out of early access in six months; challenge accepted. I can guarantee you, six or seven months and we’re out of early access. It’s the team. It’s a matter of honour, you know? We will finish this game in six months.”
So there you have it, guys. PlayerUnknown himself has said that the game will be out of Early Access in six or seven months. The development of PUBG is going fast. The developers are constantly adding new things in the game. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will also support cross-play between Xbox One and PC, according to Bluehole.
