As the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is getting closer, we’re getting a lot of rumors about the device. Well, today, we got something that isn’t a rumor. Samsung executive Gao Dongzhen (Samsung’s President of Mobile Communications) has confirmed that the company will be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Note8 in August.
Dongzhen has revealed that the company will reveal the Galaxy Note8 in late August. A few rumors suggest that the exact date is going to be August 23, 2017. Dongzhen also said that the phone will launch worldwide in two phases. The first phase will bring the Note8 to the US, UK, and the Korean markets in early October, according to Dongzhen. The second phase of the Note8 launch will commence a few weeks later.
As for the rumored specs of the Note8, it will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 / Exynos 8895 chipset, 4/6 gigabytes of RAM and a dual-camera setup on the back. It will also feature a large Super AMOLED 6.3-inch display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Note8, according to rumors, will run Android 7.1.1 out-of-the-box.
