With Gibson, first starting back in 1987, with the franchise- ‘Lethal Weapon’ it is now confirmed that Mel Gibson Is Back To Direct Lethal Weapon 5. This is supposed to be the final movie of the franchisee, and in the earlier year, it was hinted via a few leaks that the final movie could bring in the original cast from the first movie. It is also reported that the final casting will be including Dany Glover along with Mel Gibson. To those of you wondering, if Mel Gibson would just direct the movie, then it needs correction. Mel Gibson is all set to perform the role of both, movie maker and actor, in Lethal Weapon 5. 
The fifth movie of the Lethal Weapon series will be produced by Dan Lin. What is the validity of this news some might ask. Well, to make it around, Mel Gibson confirmed the news himself speaking that he would be the one to direct Lethal Weapon 5.
However so, to quote himself “The man who directed all the Lethal films, Richard Donner, he was a big guy. He was developing the screenplay and he got pretty far along with it. And he said to me one day, ‘Listen, kid, if I kick the bucket you will do it.’ And I said: ‘Shut up.’ But he did indeed pass away.” Also adding “But he did ask me to do it and at the time I didn’t say anything. He said it to his wife and the studio and the producer. So I will be directing the fifth one.”
