I’m the guy you see dancing in the rain in the middle of the night. Pursuing my bachelor’s in literature, I love to read and write and I’m somewhat of a decent storyteller. A die-hard fan of Miyazaki and Murakami and my go-to quote is “The past is a foreign country, we do things differently there”.

Meta delivers a unique form of emoji via the Facebook Messenger application. Dubbed Soundmojis, they’re just emoji with sound. At the debut, Facebook introduced “a whole” Soundmoji library, and stated it intends to refresh the library constantly with “sound effects and renowned sound clips”. Most recently, it introduced two Soundmojis based on Stranger Things (before the upcoming season and Taylor Swift’s “Red”.)

What are Soundmojis and which sounds do they make?

The aforementioned emoji and audio soundbites are referred to as “sound emojis.”

Not only will you hear audio clips from artists and excerpts from TV series and movies, but you’ll also witness famous emoji icons like the palms clapping emoji coupled with applauding audio and the drum along with drumroll audio.

Emojis can be used to convey a variety of different messages, such as Drake’s “you only live once, that’s the motto” and “I don’t have friends, I have family” remarks from Fast and Furious 7.
