Pachinko, season 1 Episode 2 ended up with two crucial scenes, from two different periods. One is Sunja’s teenage romance with Koh Hansu in which he reveals that he has a wife and his intentions about marriage. whilst in 1989, Soloman comes to know about his friend Hana, that she is still alive and has been missing for some time.
In episode 3 we will come to know about how Sunja reacts to the sad truth about Hansu and Soloman’s business deal.
POOR SUNJA FACES TRAGEDY!!!!
Episode 3 starts with Sunja preparing dinner with her mother. She is pregnant. At this point, Hansu has been gone for a week and returns.
Sunday was very much delightful and this shows her hidden love for him. when they were alone they ended up kissing and romancing. and then she explains to Hansu that she is with a child and he was super happy by hearing this but sadly when she talks about the marriage, he opens the truth that he has a wife and three daughters in Alaska.
she was stunned and heartbroken.
But then Hansu’s love for her never leaves him he says that he would buy a house in yeongdo and make her a perfect life but not marriage. Sunja sobs in silence and reveals the truth to her mother that there is no chance of marriage.
This was heard by Isak who came to rest up last night. Later Isak suggests her some ideas for her. Sunja holds the pain that the alluring romance gave her. This was perfectly captured and made us feel for her.
Back in 1989, Sunja’s best friend and sister-in-law passes away after a long battle with cancer. although she was fine the grief for her doesn’t leave her. later Solomon seeks her help in closing a business deal where he speaks about how time has changed and the pain and the hatred of Koreans to Japanese are disclosed in this scene.

Starting with Hansu’s truth about his wife, Sunja’s pain towards this, Soloman’s business deals, Isak’s arrival, and more chaotic scenes out there to us in this episode. Minha Kim as SUNJA continues her marvelous performance in every scene.
There is a lot more to come as this is something special because the struggle and love life of Sunja is shown in the manner of different timelines.
Until now this series is a good feast and the writer shows us different timelines in a super smoothy way and obviously with some twists, in which we are eager to know what is next and we’ll wait for the most thrilled and a bit romantic episodes to be released soon.
