Sons of the Forest, the successor to The Forest, was unveiled at the Game Awards almost two years ago and fans had almost forgotten about the title. Since the reveal, Endnight Games, the studio behind Sons of Forest and its predecessor Forest has been continually dropping new and exciting news.
Endnight had been staying quiet for over a year now but now the studio has officially announced that Sons of the Forest would not be launched until “early to mid-2022.” Yes, you heard right, the studio has pushed back the launch dates to 2022.
The latest studio’s message gave us a glimpse of what the final product will look like. Among the fresh screenshots released by Endnight were images of a possible human skull-based weapon, anti-turtle emotions, the inventory, and a few cannibals having some fun. Allegedly, you can swing around a cannibal’s skull on that last segment. This could be because of two reasons, first to drive away other cannibals and second, it’s a bloody cosplay.
The first installment received positive reviews from the gamers, thanks to its single-player survivor horror gameplay experience. Sons of Forest will be set on a lonely island populated by cannibalistic zombies who devour everything that moves. It’s up to you whether you brawl or hide, but the goal is to stay alive.
Sons of Forest Release Date
Sadly, the most credible news we have on the game’s official launch originates from Endnight Games, which stated that the project will be held until early to mid-2022. In the coming weeks, specific dates will be announced, along with a third official teaser (around Black Friday). From a lot of sources, it is delayed till October.

Sons of the Forest has piqued our interests. After finishing the prequel fans were eager to know what Endnight would do next. Apparently, it involved amicable multi-legged women who are most likely monsters or demons of some kind. Sons of the Forest is nearly identical to its forerunner, with base building, blood-thirsty cannibals, and similar survival elements.
