“Fear The Walking Dead” Season 8 Renewed; Madison’s Return is a Insane Letdown?

Fear The Walking Dead

Fear the Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror drama television series, which is created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson for AMC. It’s a spin-off to The Walking Dead, which is based on the comic book series of the same name by Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.

The first three seasons of the series served as a prequel, focusing on a blended family who experiences the start of the Zombies apocalypse. Subsequent seasons run concurrently to the original show, with Morgan Jones (Lennie James) from The Walking Dead crossing over into the series.

The series features a large ensemble cast, originally led by Kim Dickens as Madison Clark, Cliff Curtis as Travis Manawa, Frank Dillane as Nick Clark, and Alycia Debnam Carey as Alicia Clark.

Fear the Walking Dead premiered on August 23, 2015. The current 7th season premiered on October 17, 2021. Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg serve as the showrunners since the fourth season, succeeding Erickson from the first three. In December 2021, the series was renewed for an eighth season. Initially set in Los Angeles, filming for the series has taken place in Los Angeles, Texas, Vancouver, Canada, and Mexico.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 8 Story

Season 7’s finale nearly sets up the main plot for Fear the Walking Dead season 8. PADRE is revealed as a powerful, kid stealing community, and has abducted Mo (The Baby) thanks to a misguided Madison Clark. Kim Dicken’s returning herp has changed everyone’s heart and resolves to help Morgan get the child back.

Season 7 ends with the pair infiltrating PADRE from inside, going undercover by masquerading as allies. Morgan’s ruse means PADRE is now looking for the inflatable rafts containing Fear the Walking Dead’s remaining cast members, leaving season 8 as premiered as a battle between all our protagonists and PADRE. Pricked by their conscience, you’d expect the gang to go further than just merely Mo (The Baby), and put a stop to PADRE’s evil one and for all.

Who is Going to Return in Season 8

Based on how the last season, Season 7 ended, the main cast characters for Fear the Walking Dead season 8 will be, however, Lennie James as Morgan Jones and Kim Dickens as Madison Clark. Indeed, Dickens is confirmed as a series regular for the first time since her season 4 exit.

Everyone who exited on the inflatable rafts in Fear the Walking Dead’s “Amina” episode should be back. That means Colman Domingo’s Victor Strand, Austin Amelio’s Dwight, Danay Garcia’s Luciana, Jenna Elfman’s June, Ruben Blades’ Daniel, Karen David’s Grace, and Mo Collins’s Sarah.

Also, we cannot expect Alycia Debman-Carey to produce, however. Alicia’s final episode as Fear the Walking Dead regular was “Amina”- Season 7’s Penultimate offering.

Where Fear the Walking Dead’s Location

Fear the Walking Dead has galloped around the US, starting at California and The Mexican border before winding around to Galveston, Texas, but Season 8 leaves the Lone Star State behind. As revealed by Fear The Walking Dead’s season 7’s finale, Morgan’s raft landed in Louisiana, and while PADRE is evidently located elsewhere, Season 8 looks to be heading further east.

fear the walking dead

Medison Clark is finally back in the Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 finale as well we can see her in Season 8. Nut her wobbly story and odd motivations leave much to be desired.

It’s a disappointing day for Fear the Walking Dead fans awaiting Madison Clark’s (Kim Dickens) grand return. Their expectations may have been a little too high in the sky, as Madison’s long-awaited return ended up causing more questions than it answered.
