Standing Up is a comedy film that gives a fresh and different perspective on the comedy industry, in which four amateur comedians throw everything away to make the world laugh.
The six-episode drama revolves around four friends who manage their careers and passions, expectations, and disappointments all at the same time as they deal with love, life, and humor. Fanny Herrero’s energizing take on Paris’ burgeoning comedy scene has piqued the interest of viewers. The question remains as to whether or not there will be a second season.
Release Date for Season 2 of Standing Up:
Regrettably, Netflix has decided not to renew Standing Up. Herrero talked about her Season 2 preparations in an interview with Variety. She’d finished the first two-thirds of the script. But it’s all for naught because Netflix hasn’t given the go-ahead. Les Incrockuptible, a French magazine, broke the news first. Herrero has conveyed her dissatisfaction with the decision to the publication. “I’m upset and disappointed that Netflix hasn’t given the series more time to settle in, considering the passionate, affectionate welcome and testimonials from the press and the public, full of young people we don’t know who insisted on its originality,” she said. We are both devastated by this decision.

The drama has not been renewed for a second season, as previously stated. As a result, there isn’t a new trailer to share. However, you can view the Season 1 trailer again and wonder what went wrong.
Why was Season 2 of Standing Up canceled?
Netflix is obsessed with the audience, with a preference for quantity over quality. Standing Up did not make the global top 10 or the top 10 TV Non-English category, despite critical acclaim and praise for its genuine originality. Even in France, it was not a tremendous success. Though it only lasted 20 days in the top ten, and only 26 days in the top ten on television. In Netflix Luxembourg, Belgium, Morocco, and South Korea, the figures are even worse. It’s no surprise that Netflix opted to cancel the show’s renewal.
What can we expect from Standing Up Season 2?
We could have had a lot more to enjoy if there had been a Season 2. Although Season 1 did not conclude with a loose thread, the writer will have no trouble concocting something new. There are constantly newer opportunities for the creators to traverse because these new voices of humor are striving to make their mark. The challenges, like the struggle, never end. We could easily have a new season of Netflix’s decision to alter.
