So Help Me Todd, Fire Country, and East New York have all received full season orders from CBS.

The debut dramas Fire Country, East New York, and So Help Me, Todd, on CBS have been handed full-season orders. The three programmes rank as the most popular rookie programmes on the main tv stations.

Even though each of the three projects has only had three episodes air since their broadcast debuts less than a short while ago, their strong ratings have persuaded CBS’s top executives that they are worth a protracted commitment.

In a tweet released on Wednesday, Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment, stated, “We are thrilled to offer them well-deserved complete season contracts. The CBS programming personnel deserve further praise for guiding these series to success.

CBS' East New York, So Help Me Todd and Fire Country Get Full-Season Orders

The most viewers of the three were drawn to Fire Country, with 8.26 million tuning in for every one of the two episodes that have been broadcast ever since the premiere on October 7. Additionally, it had CBS’s biggest seven-day rating as Of May 8, 2020. The programme also outperformed the renowned Magnum P.I. criminal thriller series adaptation from 2018, which had Tom Selleck as its star, in terms of viewer ratings.

Bode Donovan, a teenage prisoner played by Max Thieriot in Fire Country, aspires to gain speedy release by joining the Northern California firefighting programme. The makers of the show and executive producers are Thieriot, Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater, while it also features Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, and Diane Farr.

East New York is just behind it, receiving 7.37 million visitors for every one of the three episodes which have been aired since its debut on October 2  so far. The programme had the greatest percentage of African-American viewers and became the most popular written programme on Sunday.

In the drama series East New York, recently hired Officer Regina Haywood (Amanda Warren) solves mysteries in her working-class district by using innovative strategies. In addition to Elizabeth Rodriguez and Richard Kind, the series also features Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, and Elizabeth Rodriguez. It is created by William Finkelstein and Mike Flynn, who also co-wrote the pilot series.

So Help Me Todd, which debuted on September 29 — the oldest of the three — and averages 6.48 million visitors for every one of its three episodes, finishes third. The drama series is also performing well online, ranking among Paramount+’s most-watched programmes.
Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect) plays the title protagonist of the screenplay “So Help me Todd,” a private detective who is the misfit of his household and grudgingly chooses to operate at his family’s legal practice where he constantly causes friction with his controlling mother. The series is written and executive directed by Scott Prendergast and also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Madeline Wise, Tristen J. Winger, and Inga Schlingmann.

All 3 programmes are accessible to view on Paramount+, CBS.com, and the CBS app along with having periodic segments broadcast on CBS.
