The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are finally out. Although we haven’t gotten ourselves one to review this article will be our thoughts about the phone so far.
The hardware design
It looks like Samsung’s move to premium feel in their flagship devices is to stay. We’re happy to see a refined body on the S7 and S7 edge compared to past iterations and although its classy style was seen in the S6 and S6 edge- the now sleek metro design will integrate more naturally into your professional life. None of that plastic fantastic mess commonly associated with the low baller. It’s a design that demands to be taken seriously- which is a huge step up when looking back at previous designs before the S6. Not only that we’re happy to get the MicroSD slot back and getting a bigger battery.
The software design
Samsung has moved away from TouchWiz but don’t expect to see a whole new concept in its skinning. Old habits die hard and Samsung certain have hard to kill habits in them. Bloatware still seems to plague the phone’s software but admittedly not as bad as when Samsung initially started with TouchWiz.
For now, this is all we can provide you on our initial thoughts on the S7 and S7 edge. We can’t comment further without actually using the device. However, looking at other sites that are reporting on it. It looks like Samsung has gotten another great competitor on its hands.
