The Last Guardian is an upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive game that is being developed by genDESIGN and SIE Japan Studio. The game is in development since 2007. It was first announced at E3 2009. The game was set to release in 2011 as a PS4 exclusive title, but it got delayed. The Last Guardian on PS4 got delayed several times and now, it is getting delayed again.

In a blog post, Shuhei Yoshida, the President of Sony Computer Entertainment, announced that the game is getting delayed. He said:
“The Last Guardian development team is fast approaching major milestones in production and has made the tough decision to delay the release of The Last Guardian a few weeks. The Last Guardian will launch on December 6, 2016.”
According to Yoshida, this game got delayed because they want to polish and perfect the game as much as they can and to do that, they need time. Yoshida further explained that the developers have a “wonderful vision” for the game’s emotional story. Another reason for the delay is that the game had bugs and issues that are needed to be fixed.

“We have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development.”
It seems like the developers are hard at work on the game. In my opinion, waiting a few weeks more is better than getting a broken game early. The release date of The Last Guardian on PS4 is delayed from October 25, 2016, to December 6, 2016. For more, stay tuned to GeeksULTD.
