Viewsonic may not be the first brand that you may think of when hunting for a gaming monitor. The Taiwanese company has recently been manufacturing some notable manufacturers lately.

The Viewsonic XG3240C features a QHD 2560 x 1440 144Hz VA panel.

The Viewsonic XG3240C features a QHD 2560 x 1440 144Hz VA panel.

Recently, Viewsonic has announced a new high-end monitor for the masses. Dubbed as the XG3240C, the Viewsonic XG3240C features a QHD 2560 x 1440 144Hz VA panel. On top of that, the XG3240C supports the HDR10 standard. Regarding response times, they’ve informed us that the Viewsonic XG3240C has a 3ms response time. The brightness of the panel is rated at 300 nits and comes with AMD’s FreeSync support. The curvature of the monitor is rated at 1800R which is pretty much the standard with curved monitors.

Size 32-inch
Resolution 2560 x 1440
Panel VA
Response Time 3ms
Refresh Rate 144Hz
Color Gamut 85% NTSC
HDR Support HDR10
Speakers 2x 6W
Brightness 300 nits
1x DP, 2x HDMI, 5x USB 3, Audio In/Out

Personally speaking. Not only is this quite an enticing monitor for those who could afford it. But it should also be enticing for gamers who also require a large monitor for productivity purposes.

However, what’s worth noting is that the monitor does not support DVI as an input. Since HDMI and Display Port are pretty much used everywhere, the lack of a DVI input should be bothering for many.

Viewsonic claims that the XG3240C would be released in May 2018 for a price of RM 2299 / US $587 in Malaysia. Since we were informed about the Malaysian availability of the monitor only, if you’re keen to pickup the XG3240C keep you eyes peeled.
