Fortnite’s beloved Playground mode is about to be buried again by the developers at Epic Games. The team working on Fortnite have promised to bring the mode back with some promising changes.
Since Playground has always been about exploring the most out of your own personal island with your friends, the next update that’s coming soon would add some well-needed additions to the mode. According to the Fortnite team, the mode is about to be pulled back on the June the 12th. The new update, Playground v2, would add allow players to have 1v1s and 2v2s.
On top of that, the developers have also confirmed that this would introduce aim-assist to the game for console players, adding the pick-axe damage, along with the ability to edit your squads builds.
Regarding some bug fixes, the developers have assured that they would be fixing the infamous trap bug that damages players on the opposite side.
The wait for this update is definitely worth it in my opinion. The amount of enthusiasm players are putting into the game have to be worth it, especially since Epic Games wants to host a tournament worth $100 Million.
