After eight intense and hectic seasons, chock-full of limitless battle royale gameplay since October 2019, Epic Games is about to bring Chapter 2 to a close. The Mandalorian, Menace, Lexa, and Kratos skins have all come and gone since then, but now is the time to draw the drapes and start a new one.
Here’s all we know about Fortnight Chapter 3 Season 1.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Release Date
Fortnite Chapter 3 is set to begin on December 7th, following the Season 8 live event on December 5th and two days of downtime, according to HYPEX’s newest report. As of Friday, December 4, a countdown meter has been introduced to the game in preparation for the end-of-season event, which could signify that now the cooldown period begins.
If you’re expecting a prolonged downtime, you’ll have to be patient as Epic works its mojo to make the new modifications that need to be implemented in Fortnite during this new chapter’s 60-minute matchmaking re-enablement period.
However, the official statement from Epic Games, which ends Season 8 on December 4 at 4 p.m. Eastern, differs slightly from these specifics. Chapter 3 may commence either on December 6 or December 7 based on this minor mismatch in the schedule. To find out when the next Battle Pass will be on sale, we must wait for the final downtime timer to go off.
Battle Pass and Maps
It’s anticipated that information about the Battle Pass and maps will be released once the Chapter 2 Final event ends, so be sure to check back here when it does.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Trailer
Epic Games has released a teaser for their Chapter 2 Finale event, which will take place on December 4th, 2021, although there is yet no official trailer for Chapter 3 Season 1.

What Will Happen During The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 Live Event?
As the purple danger steadily sweeps the Battle Royale area, participants are likely to face the Cube Queen and her henchmen during these festivities. Cube Queen’s spectrogram photos hint that her pyramids at the center of the map may be charged up to release a bombardment of electric currents.
This assault on the map and its Zero Point is yet to be witnessed, but we don’t expect good things to come of it. The Last Reality and the Cube Queen are rumored to be powerful NPCs that may wipe out players in multiplayer.
The Foundation, who appeared briefly throughout the Season 8 trailer and hasn’t been seen since is on the opposing side of the war. IFireMonkey reports that the Foundation will have phone lines available during the forthcoming event.
We don’t know what will happen after that, but the emergence of the black hole would be enough to bring Fortnite down for days. Are you up to the challenge?
