Samsung Exynos Event: Samsung Exynos 2200 Chipset with AMD GPU Might Be Unveiled on November 19

Tech giant Samsung has reportedly sent out an invitation for an Exynos event on November 19. Samsung Exynos account had earlier confirmed an engagement for November 19 by posting a message on its official Twitter account. “The Future of Entertainment” will be unveiled on November 19. Additional images hint at the product’s focus on video games. Samsung has announced that it is working with AMD on the Processor for its forthcoming Exynos flagship phone. Speculation had it that the latest Exynos 2200 processor would ultimately be unveiled on November 19. As of now, Samsung Exynos has announced that no Exynos- the event is scheduled for November 19 as previously reported by the company.

“Despite the rumors, we don’t have any Exynos-related events planned on 11/19, but we do have some changes coming to our social accounts,” the Samsung Exynos account tweeted. The company did not reveal any further details but hinted at an announcement expected from the company’s semiconductor division”.

Recent reports have stated that the Exynos 2200 Processor, which may have six RDN2 cores, has a 34 percent greater performance level than the Exynos 2100. Not only that, but a previous leak claimed that the forthcoming SoC had outperformed the Snapdragon 898, and A14 Bionic chip in high-performance mode as well. Because this will be Samsung’s first collaboration with AMD on an ARM Mali graphics chip, many of the fans are looking forward to seeing the Exynos 2200 GPU in action.

The previous testing has indicated that throttling would occur as benchmark tests advanced for Samsung’s Exynos range of processors due to poor GPU performance. When these tests were completed, even if Samsung’s Exynos 2100 had a pretty good start, its efficiency would be drastically degraded.

If not the Samsung Exynos 2200, then what?

The Galaxy S22 series is believed to be powered by Samsung’s forthcoming Exynos 2200 processor, which is slated to be released in February 2022. Variable-rate shading, ray-tracing,  and other high-end graphics technologies will all be supported by the AMD GPU in the next Samsung flagship chipset. An ARM Cortex-X2 core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores are rumored to make up the Exynos 2200.

It is possible that the Exynos 2200 will not be unveiled, but the successor to the Exynos 1080 might. Samsung’s forthcoming Exynos 1280 chipset is expected to be used in entry-level handsets. The Instagram message that accompanied the photo further indicated that the chip would be aimed at improving gaming performance.

At this time, we don’t know much about the impending Samsung event or the speculated Exynos chipset. So, we can only recommend that users wait and see what Samsung has in mind for them at the scheduled date. The GeeksULTD will be working overtime to release some information before its debut.
