The Oppenheim Group’s Selling Sunset, Netflix’s most popular reality show, debuted with a new episode yesterday, and the network has already seen a spike in interest. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic and a lengthy production hiatus, the luxurious real estate agency had to catch us up on a slew of developments, so much so that few of the theatrics weren’t even followed into Season 4.
Fortunately, fresh episodes are expected to be released soon. Here’s everything we know about Selling Sunset Season 5.
Season 5 Filming is officially Underway
In March of last year, Netflix announced that the popular reality show would be returning for seasons 4 and 5. Even though Netflix hasn’t released much information about Season 5, cast updates have indicated that Season 5 is already filming, and production could begin simultaneously time as Season 4.
This isn’t the first time the series has done this: Seasons 2 and 3 were shot simultaneously. When it comes to Season 5, we’ll have to wait a few more days to find out the release date.
Earlier this week, Chrishell Stause posted a picture of herself and Emma Hernan on the set of Season 5, which seems to be an on-set photo of the two. Chrishell captioned the Instagram post “Look from Season 5 of #SellingSunset.”
When was Selling Sunset season 5 confirmed?
As recently as March 2021, Netflix revealed a fifth season of Selling Sunset, saying that the popular reality show had been extended for two additional seasons. It appears that season 5 also may have begun production around the same time, given the actors celebrated the start of shooting on season 4 on Instagram in May of the same year.
A handful of photos from the set were released by the realtors, including one of Mary Fitzgerald and her colleagues with the caption: “We’re back baby! Selling Sunset Season 4 & 5 coming to you so so sooooon!!! ⭐️🎥”
Mary’s caption suggests that seasons 4 and 5 were shot simultaneously, thus we may assume the seasons closely follow one another.
When will Selling Sunset season 5 be released?
We don’t yet know the premiere date for the fifth season of Selling Sunset. However, given that the series was recorded in tandem, we can anticipate that it won’t be far behind season 4.
Thus far, Seasons 2 and 3 have both been released within a month of their former, so seasons 4 and 5 may be released within a month of each other.
Selling Sunset fans, those Oppenheim couches are getting a little more crowded in Season 4.

Who will star in Selling Sunset season 5?
Season 5 hasn’t been given much attention as of yet. We should expect a lot of the same cast for seasons 4 and 5, as they appear to have been shot back-to-back.
Two new seasons were revealed in March, with Netflix confirming a comeback of the following cast members: Chrishell Stause; Jason and Brett Oppenheim; Maya Vander; Davina Potratz; and Christine Quinn.
In addition, Netflix confirmed in May that the show’s fourth season would feature the integration of two fresh real estate agents, tweeting “Selling Sunset fans, those Oppenheim couches are getting a little more crowded in Season 4. Vanessa Villela, a Mexican-American novela star turned real estate agent and Emma Hernan, an entrepreneur who has an interesting history with the ladies have joined the cast.”
Season 5 was confirmed at the same time as Season 4 (and they seem to have been filmed at the same time as well), so it’s safe to assume Vanessa and Emma will be returning for Selling Sunset Season 5.
What can we expect from Selling Sunset season 5?
Chrishell and Jason Oppenheim’s connection is still a mystery, but the real kicker is that it will be featured in the upcoming installment. “We became best friends before anything, and I’ve never had that before,” Chrishell confirmed Cosmopolitan UK.
“We know everything about each other and tell each other everything. We’re silly and laugh a lot. I love that there’s no need to try and pretend to be the best version of yourself. I recommend being friends with someone first – I’ve never done that before and it’s quite different.”
Got cut off and I'm SOOOOO tired of addressing this. I am in every single episode of season 4 and 5 of selling sunset. The girls intentionally leave me out of photos. I have real work to do besides sit on my phone and prove 24/7 that I'm filming a TV show. Yall going to see me. pic.twitter.com/MYv17l4SEY
