For years, gamers have been asking for a sequel of “The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild” and now they’ve finally got one. Over the past two years, the game has been out there, leading some gamers to wonder if it has been scrapped. Thankfully, Breath of the Wild 2 appears to still be in development, although Nintendo appears to be taking its time. Until an official source confirms the delivery date of BotW2, we’ll have to rely on hearsay and guesses.
So, with that being told, here’s everything we know about “The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild.”
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Release Date
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is expected to be released in the year 2022, although Nintendo hasn’t announced a specific release date.
It was announced at the E3 2021 conference that a follow-up to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be launched at some point in 2022, although the developers didn’t go into any further detail about the release time.
There is currently no release date or even a definite month or season for BotW 2, but we will keep you informed as soon as that any information comes to light. Speaking about the rumors, Schneider said on the IGN Games YouTube channel that he has intimate knowledge and thinks BotW 2 will be released in November 2022.
“It does sound like Nintendo is going to have a pretty good year next year,” Schneider said. “So, I would not take the absence of big stuff as a sign that maybe Breath of the Wild is delayed or that they don’t have other stuff, because it sounds like… people at Nintendo are very excited about 2022.”

What’s new with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gameplay?
The first-generation Hyrule map is making a return, but it’s going to be broken early in the game and the parts it leaves behind seem like tiny islands for you to discover — each with its unique perils and obstacles.
Many have speculated this sequel would have many dungeons, or possibly a large network of subterranean passageways to explore. You’ll also be able to fly and skim your way through the places, in addition to the previously mentioned extra powers and new means of traveling that will be available when the game hits. For the first time in the mainstream series, Zelda will be a playable character and many of the dungeons will include co-op elements.
Whether or not Breath of the Wild 2 will be launched in November is still up in the air, but as the year 2021 draws to a close, we may expect an official announcement of when the game will be released.
The game has a ton of potential, and even if it didn’t win TGA 2021’s Most Anticipated title for the second season in a row, excitement for Link and Zelda’s next journey is at an all-time high.
