During last week’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix and Acquire revealed the stunningly designed JRPG Octopath Traveler 2 Release Date. The game itself is a striking sequel to the innovative Octopath Traveler from 2018. While it was only recently announced, the sequel appears to be nearing completion. Rendering to an interview with Famitsu and speckled in Gamerant, Square Enix has now long-established that expansion on Octopath Traveler 2 is going pretty well undeniably.
According to the publisher, much of the title’s development work has already been completed, with the game being “90% complete.” The game appears to be progressing in line with Square Enix’s plans for a February release. In addition to the game’s big reveal during last week’s Nintendo Direct, fans got a closer look at Octopath Traveler 2 at the recent Tokyo Game Show. This time, viewers were treated to a more in-depth look at the game’s gameplay, which will follow the stories as eight new travelers make their way across Solista’s fantasy land.

As evidenced by the latest gameplay, Octopath Traveler 2 Release Date will benefit from some technological advancements over the original game. The series’ signature style of using HD-2D graphics will be retained, albeit with significant improvements over the previous title.

While it’s exciting that the game is so close to being ready for release, we’ll keep an eye on things. This has been a particularly bad year for game delays and postponements.
