OnePlus has just launched the OnePlus 5 yesterday. The company has enjoyed some massive support recently. The OnePlus 5 comes with all the highest-end hardware you could think of starting at $479.
OnePlus has two variants of the OnePlus 5, a 6GB/64GB variant and an 8GB/128GB variant that come in two colors, grey and black. OnePlus has just reported that their upper tier OnePlus 5 has just sold out thanks to the massive support they’ve gained. And the offer isn’t bad for the early birds who have locked in their OnePlus 5.
The Early Drop of the 128 GB #OnePlus5 Midnight Black is now sold out! Check back on June 27 and order yours when official sales kick off.
— OnePlus (@oneplus) June 20, 2017
Early birds are entitled for a 50% discount on the following items
- Dash Type-C Cable
- OnePlus 5 Protective Case
- OnePlus 5 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector
- OnePlus Bullets (V2)
The fast sales don’t end there either. Carl Pei, Founder of OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 5 is their fastest-selling device.

However, personally, I have a mixed bag of feelings for the OnePlus 5. Despite being the powerhouse right now with the highest-end hardware, the company has been slowly lifting their prices and have now entered the $500 territory where they shouldn’t have been.
But, what could we say, OnePlus is an evolving brand adapting to the latest trends in technology, they are playing catch up with the top dogs and are doing it well. All I hope is that the price increase stops here. Me, personally, I’ll just pickup the Xiaomi Mi6.
