It seems like another surprise has made its way into the news as PAYDAY 2 makes its way onto the Nintendo Switch.
The developers of PAYDAY 2, Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios have announced a release date for PAYDAY 2’s release date on the Nintendo Switch. According to the official statement by the developers, the title is supposed to ship on the 23rd of February in Europe & Australia, while the Americans would have to wait for a few days. For the Americans, that is North and South Americans, the title is expected to ship by the 27th of February. The title is said to be available physically and digitally.
The mysterious FPS brings in some excellent shooting experiences, and when taken on the go, should be able to quench the thirst of many enthusiast gamers who love the PAYDAY franchise. If this goes out well, we should be looking at future sequels of the title also making their way onto the Nintendo Switch just as the other platforms.
What would be interesting to see is how they would compromise on the title, whether graphically or overall changing the game to run well on the Nintendo Switch. Afterall, it is a device that would also be with gamers who are constantly on the go.
However, considering how well DOOM runs on the Nintendo Switch, it seems like it should most probably be the full and fat PAYDAY 2 experience with graphical downgrades.
