Fortnite’s the most popular game on the planet right now. The game hosts over a 125 Million players and has proven to be an amazing success for the folks over at Epic.
Just like every other major multiplayer game on the market, Fortnite comes with its own form of anti-cheat. As perfect it sounds, fair players may get caught by the anti-cheat tool and may automatically ban players, resulting in a lost player who may never come back, especially with players investing into the game.
However, if you’ve been permanently banned for no reason, it seems like you could claim it and actually get your account back. A user on reddit reported how he was wrongly banned and was then able to get his account back by contacting the folks over at Epic Games. As he got his account back, the folks over at Epic Games offered 2000 V-Bucks for the wrongly banned account.
Since a ton of folks get banned for actual cheats, it’s unlikely that Epic may unban many accounts given how they have gameplay evidence. But if you do get caught in the act for no reason, it seems like now’s the time to start grinning in evil laughter. If you’re on the other side, consider yourself banned without an appeal as the EasyAntiCheat engine is pretty good at catching cheaters.
While Epic may not speak much about their anti-cheat solution, they’re definitely improving every single day. Let’s just hope that the 2000 V-Bucks compensation is actually the standard for compensating wrongfully banned accounts and that it’s not a one time thing.
