As 2018 comes to an end, there’s no doubt that these past few months have been huge for the gaming industry. In a recent update published by the folks over at NPD, September has been an incredible month for gaming. Their report not only highlights the best-sellers of that particular month but also highlights the best-sellers so far this year. Several other faces were also noted across the board, most notably Turn10’s Forza Horizon 4.
According to the report published by the folks over at NPD, Spiderman and NBA 2K19 has shaken the rankings throughout September. Not only were they leading the rest of the pack in overall sales but also made their way into the top 5 games sold by units in 2018. With Spiderman and NBA 2K19 leading pack, we get to see Assassins Creed: Odyssey, FIFA 19 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider claim third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions on the chart.
Coming over to the best-sellers of the year, Far Cry 5 remains untouched, followed by the godly release of God Of War 2018. Followed by those two are Marvel’s Spiderman, Monster Hunter World, and NBA 2K19 taking third, fourth and fifth positions pushing Monster Hunter World and Madden NFL 19 down the ladder rankings.

Now that we’ve begun cruising November, it would be interesting to see how Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 performed throughout October. Certainly, the last quarter of 2018 is about to get a whole lot more exciting, especially with the addition of Battlefield V making its way into the mix this month.
With Battlefield V now making its to gamers, we’re expecting a ton lot from EA this year, especially considering how much they’ve shaken up Battlefield V’s gameplay mechanics. From introducing competitive play to a Battle Royale mode, this has to be the most definitive launch from DICE this far.
EA has showcased and announced eight maps coming to Battlefield V at launch. However, only time would tell how well players cope with the game in a few months time.
