Xiaomi is up to something incredible. Following the recent leaks and official announcement date, Xiaomi has officially revealed the Xiaomi Mi 9 in its entirety… except for the front of the device.
Xiaomi’s Senior Vice President, Wang Xiang, has officially revealed a variant of the now-hyped Xiaomi Mi 9. Newly released images of the device via the Vice President’s Twitter handle showcase all the traits we had seen in the leaks from a few days ago, along with a new color for those who want Xiaomi to go all out on those trendy colors.
With that out of the way, it seems like our predictions were definitely correct now that Xiaomi has officially revealed the keynote for the Mi 9, that is, on the same day as the Samsung Galaxy S10 keynote, albeit prevailing in their respective regions.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 showcased in the series of tweets by the Vice President showcase what seems to be an incredible color gradient we’ve never seen before. To add even more eye-candy into the mix, he revealed that Xiaomi has used nano-level laser engraving holographic technology as well as dual layer nano-coating on the device.
Given that Xiaomi has never backed down from a specs race in the past, we’re expecting nothing less of a flagship from Xiaomi. Internally, expect to see the Snapdragon 855, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage as well as a triple camera setup at its back.
Regarding pricing, we’re hoping to see Xiaomi continue their stance on pricing their devices fairly. If they do continue with their stance this year, we’d call the Mi9 a $400-500 device as the device heads east from the Chinese borders.
