Today Nintendo revealed the announcement trailer for the brand new Mario game coming solely on the Nintendo Switch but with a twist. This switch twister is driven by a unique origami concept in a world made out of paper as the story unfolds Paper Mario goes on a magic ride across the paper world.
Origami has been in the roots of Japanese culture since the beginning of time and considering how Nintendo often complements its Japanese origins, Paper Mario: The Origami King is beautifully thought out and built to bring nothing but excitement to the classic Mario fans. Nintendo has been very keen on bringing new concepts to its exclusive library and the struggle seemingly has been paid off.
In a world made out of paper and origami Mario who himself is made out of paper goes on an adventure filled with chaos, quests, character and beauty. The origami world is everything that fans would expect from Nintendo. The game is set for a release this July 17th.
We’ve recently covered how Nintendo has been focussing on bringing non-gamers towards their platform. Having titles with extremely simple and thought out concepts like Paper Mario is definitely something we don’t see very often and brings a very creative approach to people of all ages. While the game itself is nothing extraordinary yet its simplicity is what sets it apart. The current release is set solely for the Nintendo Switch however we could expect a mobile release.
With Nintendo sales on a definite rise, it’s clear that the sudden outbreak of the pandemic hasn’t set back Nintendo severely and we could expect games releasing on their set times accordingly.
