A day before the grand presentation of the Honor 80 series and foldable Magic Vs, Honor announced MagicOS 7.0 grounded on Android 13. The new release succeeds Magic UI 6.2 and will be contemporary on all upcoming Honor phones. MagicOS takes a visual overhaul complete with some noteworthy features.
MagicOS 7.0 features a more modernized design with flat icons, fluid animations, and the new Honor Sans font used thru the UI. The home screen now houses larger ring binders that are easily accessible. The new widgets agree to a more personalized experience. Honor also announced a new video editor that comes built-in.
MagicRing is Honor’s new designation for seamless file transfers, smart clipboard, and call and notice management between MagicOS devices and other Honor laptops besides tablets. Foldables get the added profit of a split-screen keyboard, smart widget, and task manager support. Magic Text is an extra novelty that recognizes text in images!
Honor OS TurboX possibilities faster app launches and optimized system-level power consumption running while MagicGuard deals with system, privacy guard, and financial security aspects and also protects devices against malware.
Honor also shared an early list of devices that will receive the MagicOS 7.0 update in China. The device list is exactly for China while the global rollout schedule and list will be communal in due time.
Honor has also exposed the public beta rollout plan for China. Though MagicOS 7 was announced on November 22, 2022, the beta build will announcement in December 2022.
