She shared that she has had a “very rough year after [her] separation.” Talking nearby the reaction her song has been receiving, the singer thought that it all feels like a dream to her and is “just in the making for someone to pinch me and backwash me up from this dream.”
She also public that Session #53 has been a healthy way to channel her sentiments amid her split. The singer also common that the song has become “an anthem for so many women” for many women have done the same things as she has. Shakira further added that while she wrote the song for herself, it has become a “forum” for many womenfolk out there as well.

Talking about the victory of her new song, the singer shared how her fandom has nowadays become a sisterhood of women who have stood through the same things as her. She said, “I certainly felt that I don’t even have enthusiasts out there.”
“I have a sisterhood of women who have been doing the same clothes that I have been through, who aim the way I think, who feel the way I feel, who needed to put up with so far crap the way I had to.”
