Fornite without a doubt has garnered a ton of attention. Whether you hate it or not, the title has performed phenomenally over the past months. The free title now garners and rivals PUBG’s player base and bring a ton of enjoyment to the table. Constant updates, balancing and attention from developers has led Fornite into an excellent spot for 2018. What’s about to come up in the future is one of the best things to ever happen to Fortnite, and that’s the implementation of cross-play between Xbox One and PC players.

Recently, the developers at Fortnite have announced that they are planning to enable cross-play, cross-progression and cross-purchase between the Xbox One, PC, Android and iOS platforms. This is amazing news for Xbox One owners of the title who want to enjoy the title on both of the platforms and are looking to expand their reach. While PC players may call an advantage simply due to the superiority of mouse and keyboard in FPS titles, that shouldn’t stop Xbox One players from trying to “one-up” their PC opponents.

While this is still in development and is yet to arrive, what should be concerning is what directions Epic Games, the devs of Fortnite, take with the implementation of the title’s cross-play feature and if Xbox One player would have any added benefits to aid their aim.

If they pull it off. I couldn’t imaging how well the title would perform, especially at such a stage along with a huge player base. We should be hoping that Epic Games pulls this off well.

And if you’ve missed the news, Fortnite is coming the Android and iOS devices. The devs of Fortnite announced:

“Starting Monday you can sign-up for the Fortnite Invite Event on iOS. On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac. Same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates.”

If you’re a Fortnite player and if that doesn’t get you excited enough, then nothing will.
