Asus is without a doubt, one of the best manufacturers of gaming notebooks in the world. The Taiwanese company has recently announced that they are refreshing their lineup of notebooks with Coffee Lake CPUs and MaxQ GPUs.
These new range of laptops come with Intel’s highest-end notebook processors along with upto 32GB of RAM and a GTX 1080. The highest-end option from Asus right now with the Coffee Lake update seems to be the G703. Equipped with Intel’s latest Core i9 8950HK, 32GB RAM, GTX 1080, 2TB HDD, 2x 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD and a 144Hz IPS display, the G703 is simply a beast of a laptop that would zip through ease.
Another excellent model that has been upgraded is the Zephyrus GX501G, not only is this the slimmest of the bunch, but thanks to Nvidia’s amazing strides on the notebook side of things, Asus and Nvidia managed to fit a GTX 1080 into such a thin body. The GX501 comes equipped with the latest Core i7-8750H CPU from Intel, 1TB PCIE SSD, a GTX 1080 and an IPS-enabled 144Hz display.
While these laptops are a simple incremental upgrade over their Kaby Lake predessors, they’re an excellent option if this is would be your only notebook.
Regarding pricing, there’s no word on that. Since these are basically refreshes, these should most probably fall under the same pricing as their Kaby Lake predecessors.
